Download the Salonhome app, tap Get Started, and select Set Up A Business. Choose your service type, hair, nails, lashes, skincare, barber, massage, or wellness. Complete your profile with a photo, bio, and services, then connect your Stripe account to start receiving payments. Setup takes about 10 minutes.

Our platform follows all applicable state and federal licensing guidelines. Most service professionals, including cosmetologists, barbers, estheticians, nail technicians, and massage therapists are required to hold a valid state license, which you'll enter during profile setup. However, not all professionals are required to be licensed under the law. Natural hair stylists, for example, are exempt from licensing requirements in a growing number of states. If your specialty falls under an exemption in your state, you can still join and operate on Salonhome. When in doubt, check your state's current licensing requirements, we're always aligned with whatever the law says.

Getting started and being discovered is free. We charge a platform fee on each completed booking, you keep the rest. Premium plan options unlock additional features including advanced analytics, priority search placement, and the ability to rent or list salon suite spaces.

Our platform is built for the full range of beauty and wellness professionals from hair stylists, natural hair specialists, braiders, barbers, nail technicians, lash artists, brow specialists, estheticians, makeup artists, massage therapists, and wellness practitioners. If your service belongs in the beauty and wellness space, Salonhome is for you.

Once your profile is live, clients in your area can find you through search, browse your services and pricing, and book directly from your profile. You receive an instant notification for every new booking. Your calendar updates in real time, no risk of double booking, no back-and-forth text coordination.

Absolutely! Go to Setings > Profile > Business hours to set the specific days and hours you accept bookings. You can create a recurring weekly schedule, customize individual days, and block out time for vacations, personal appointments, or anything else. Your clients only see what you make available.

This feature is not available just yet, but it's in the works and we know how important it is. In the meantime, we encourage all professionals to have their walk-in and off-platform clients download the Salonhome app and book their appointment directly through it. This keeps your calendar accurate, ensures every booking is tracked, and gives you seamless accounting and client management in one place, no chasing records or reconciling outside bookings. Manual calendar entry is coming, and we'll announce it as soon as it's live.

We have a platform-wide cancellation and no-show policy that protects your time and your income, so you never have to have that awkward conversation with a client. If a client no-shows or cancels outside of the policy window, you will still be paid. The policy is enforced automatically by the platform, the client's payment method on file is charged accordingly, and the funds are directed to you. Your time is valuable and Salonhome makes sure it's treated that way.

When a client books, their full payment is captured upfront and held securely. Once the appointment is completed, the funds are released to your Sripe wallet. From there you can cash out instantly to a debit card (a small fee applies) or receive a free weekly ACH transfer to your bank account. No chasing clients, no waiting on checks.

Yes. Tips go directly to you in full and are deposited to your wallet alongside your service earnings.

Yes. All payments on Salonhome are processed through Stripe Connect. Setting up your Stripe account takes about 5 minutes and requires basic identity verification and bank account details. You cannot receive payouts until this step is complete. Stripe also handles your 1099 tax form automatically if you earn $600 or more in a calendar year.

Yes. Your Bookings tab gives you a complete list of every client who has booked with you, including their booking history, service preferences and spend. You can also send messages to clients directly through the platform.

Absolutely. You can build out a full service menu with as many offerings as you need, each with its own name, description, duration, and price. Different lengths, different techniques, or different service tiers can all be listed separately so clients know exactly what they're booking and what it costs.

Dedicated promo and discount tools are coming soon and we know how powerful they are for building a clientele. In the meantime, the simplest way to showcase a deal is to adjust your service price directly to reflect your promotional rate. Set it where you want it, let clients see the value, and update it again when the promotion ends. Full promotional tools, discount codes, and featured badges are on the roadmap and will be available soon.
